Susantha Chaminda Ratnayake
Susantha Ratnayake, at 47, became the youngest-ever Chairman of Sri Lanka's foremost conglomerate, John Keells Holdings, when he succeeded Vivendra Lintotawela on January 1, 2006.
Susantha Ratnayake studied at
Trinity College (Kandy) until he finished his O/L's and finished his secondary education at Royal College, Colombo.

Mr Ratnayake became Chairman on 1st January 2006, after having been appointed to the Board during 1992/1993, and Deputy Chairman during 2004/2005. He is also the Chairman of all subsidiary Companies of the Group and has over 27 years management experience, all of which is within the JKH Group. He serves as a council member of the Employers Federation of Ceylon, a Committee Member of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Tourism, Sovereign Rating and Investment Promotion Clusters of the National Council of Economic Development (NCED).

Press Release10 September 2008ANNOUNCEMENT ON LANKA MARINE SERVICES (PRIVATE) LIMITED (“LMS”), ASUBSIDIARY OF JOHN KEELLS HOLDINGS PLCA certified copy of the order made by the Supreme Court in case No SC (FR 209/2007) on 8th September2008 was received today. The Court made the following directions regarding the submission of LMS that ithas not been able to remove all its stock of oil and lubricants on the land but were nevertheless makingarrangements to vacate the land on 10th September 2008.a) LMS was granted time until 12th September 2008 to remove the oil and lubricants from the landb) The workmen of LMS will assist in this process of removing the oil and the lubricants on thefollowing conditions:a) LMS will deposit in a bank, on terms and conditions to be determined by the Commissionerof Labour an amount calculated at the rate paid in respect of employees whose services were previouslyterminated by LMS, whether on a voluntary retirement basis or otherwise, in respect of the currentemployees who have made application for terminal benefits to the Commissioner to meet any ultimate orderthat will be made by the Commissioner of Labour in this regard, according to lawb) the said amount will be held as a deposit to be disbursed on the basis of an order made bythe Commissioner of Labour subject to the legal rights of the partiesc) If for any reason the oil or lubricants are not removed by 12th September 2008 whatever remainswill be the property of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority.LMS was notified by the Commissioner General of Labour that the amount of security to be deposited wasRs 153,228,593/=. LMS has deposited this amount into a separate bank account and notified theCommissioner General of Labour as required and will await the determination of the Commissioner.LMS is currently finalising its handover of the land to the Sri Lanka Ports Authority which handover will becompleted today. LMS has commenced the removal of the remaining stocks of oil and lubricants and willwork with the Sri Lanka Ports Authority until 12th September 2008 to take out all removable stocks of oil and lubricants from the land.By next week, LMS will be providing its customers with all grades of bunker fuels as in the past using acombination of floating storage and the proposed shared land storage facility to be run by the Sri LankaPorts Authority. The company has engaged a tanker on a long term charter for procurement and storage of bunker fuels. LMS will also continue to provide bonded storage and delivery services of marine lubricants on behalf of the many global lubricant manufacturers represented by them

ANNOUNCEMENT – LANKA MARINE SERVICES (PRIVATE) LIMITED (“LMS”)LMS has handed over the land to the SLPA on 10th September 2008 and has taken all possible steps toremove stocks of oil and lubricants by 12th September 2008 in terms of the orders of Court.However, due to technical reasons the company was unable to remove oil stocks to the value ofapproximately USD 184,000 (approximately Rupees Twenty Million), remaining on the land; and in terms ofthe Court direction the ownership of which will now accrue to the SLPA. Accordingly, approximately Rs.20,000,000 (Rupees Twenty Million) loss, consolidated, will add to the financial impacts quantified andannounced to date.Oil stocks to the value of USD 416,000 (approximately Rupees Forty Five Million) remain in the pipelines,located outside the premises.

ry J it may not be possible for you to decipher and understand the case files it may go over your head. Assuming you can understand basic english ,can you at least read Mr Kanageeswaran's speach delivered on the occasion of Mr kamalasabeysons second death anniversary. Obviosly this was not written by Harry J as he has enogh prodctive things to do. Who ever you are yo have to be the biggest donkey ever!
The biggest donkey is the so called concerned citizen who stole a whole floor off a goverment hotel. Who has now trned whistle blower. This man was born a thief .
The second donkey is the politician who has never done any thing for the people or the contry his whole life. He rides on his father's name. Presidential advisor my foot! What the hell do yo know to ad vise any body!!! yo even believe the likes of the hotel hora Can't you read? Oh sorry yo can read bt understanding is another thing!
The third one is the ex CJ! he led yo on to file the controversial case knowing your brain power he is a vindictive Human???
The likes of yo will not understand the likes of Ratnayake who does not have to steal to earn he is born clever and is deciplined and hard working
may be you should conslt him with ot robbing tax payers money?

The man who delivered this judgement and those who took this case to court have questionable personal and professional lives. Ratnayake was never unethical and never will be. Some people are made different( born DIFFERENT) Those Sri what ever and those MP's who pay lip service to corruption all their lives and have not contributed any thing to this country will remain so and die bull sxxxxxxx the country.
Great men like Ratnayake can never be braught down.
